TYPOGRAPHY
Typography is a medium I consider uniquely capable of conveying strong visuals while also being extremely clear in the idea it is trying to invoke. From the font and line weight, to the letter spacing and alignment, even the relative change in size between individual letters or words. Each aspect and many others can completely change the impact and nature of the the text, either distracting from the message or making it all the more powerful and memorable.
I typically try to either arrange the letters to allow an individual word to embody it's meaning, or for the phrase to embody its idea to enhance the intended message. Another method is word art, using one or multiple characters in the same or a variety of fonts.
Logo design specifically is a field I find facinating, difficult, and rewarding in equal measure. Creating or composing a sigular image or word to encompase something's entire identity is to me an exciting challenge.
